I created this poster for my Typography final project. It uses the Bree typeface and was created with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop CS4. The poster size measures 24×36 inches.

The package label reads:
The vision of this project was to express the feeling of being so deeply captivated by design that you can’t help but stare, only to soon find yourself in complete awe with drool dribbling down your chin. The concept behind ‘Drool Over Design’ is to emotionally connect with the viewer to make them feel and appreciate the particular emotions that only great design can evoke. This crafted artwork expresses
love for design using plenty of drool, grungy textures, and gorgeous typography.

“Design must seduce, shape, and perhaps more importantly, evoke emotional response.”   -April Greiman.

A couple projects I did for my Typography class. The expressive word must “visually represent the meaning of a single word using typographical concepts.”

Long day today. I woke up at 6:00am for our moving sale. To my surprise, we had a huge turn out. I cannot believe we sold as much stuff as we did. I hope tomorrows profits are just as well.

I installed the the latest version of VirtualBox tonight. VirtualBox 1.6.2 was released on June 06 with a list of great fixes and changes. Version 1.6.x has been a huge improvement overall. Though one downfall is that VB lacks the ability to resize the virtual disk once it has been created. I originally created a 20GB virtual disk and installed Vista on it a while back. I didn’t realize it would fill so quickly. I use vista solely for my Adobe products and web design, otherwise it’s useless to me. With all the adobe software and hundreds of additional / ever-expanding fonts and brushes, I was in dire need of more space. I created a new 40GB disk tonight so hopefully this will be enough to last me. Since I wasn’t able to resize the old disk, I now have the long process of reinstalling Vista and all other additional software. Ugh, very time consuming and it’s already really late. Eh, oh well, I’ll finish the install tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, it’s now 2:28am and I have to get up at 6am for another day of the moving sale.
Wish me luck….
