CSS 3.0 modules and selectors have been implemented into the most recent update of many popular web browsers, including Firefox 3.5, Safari 4, and Google Chrome. Unfortunately Internet Explorer doesn’t support CSS3. Regardless of the IE fallback, I have decided to implement a number of new CSS3 features into my redesign. I recently updated my style sheet to add border-images. See the horizontal lines on my sidebar?

I used the new “-moz-border-image / -webkit-border-image” to make the necessary changes from a 1px solid line to a 2px repeating image for the bottom border of list elements and other various places. The code is after the break.

I’ve been working on a project for my Technical Writing in Print and Digital Media class over the past two weeks. The project requires that I create a website for a professional organization using XHTML and CSS. I have decided to design a website for Adirondack Cardiology. A family friend who works for the company made me a proposal to redesign this website last summer but I was not able to take on the project due to my busy schedule. Now that I have the time and obligation of school, I am excited to be working on it. I feel it’s coming along well. I’ve recently been focusing on tweaking the navigation bar and I just finished implementing a Javascript based sliding sidebar. Click the image to check it out.

So here it is,  the ‘beta’ version of my first wordpress theme!  I spent a number of hours last night and the majority of my day today creating it. It still needs quite a bit of work, but i’m glad to say its about 75% complete. So far I think it looks pretty damn sexy and very close to the original mockup. I created a new logo for myself which symbolized my initials, PL. I may still play around with the logo after i get this layout finished.

Summer session A is coming to an end next week. I can’t wait to be done with classes. I feel as if summer has not even started yet. I am definitly making plans to spend a lot of time with my friends in the coming weeks. As for now, i’m struggling with pre-calc… what’s new. I hate math. Try learning trigonometry in one week… a bit ridiculous buddy.

Anyways, check out this video. It gave me a good laugh.
